Fame and power change people

Amit Mishra, a veteran spinner in the Indian cricket team, recently discussed the contrasting personalities of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Mishra highlighted that Kohli has fewer friends within the team due to how fame and power have changed him, whereas Rohit remains the same approachable person despite his stature.

Speaking on Shubhankar Mishra's show 'Unplugged', Amit Mishra emphasised the difference in nature between the two players, noting that he has a closer bond with Rohit than with Kohli due to this. Mishra also acknowledged that Kohli has changed over the years, attributing it to the influence of fame and power.

The cricketer shared a sentiment expressed by Yuvraj Singh about how Kohli has evolved from the person he once knew as 'Cheeku'. Despite these observations, both Kohli and Rohit were part of India's T20 World Cup-winning team in 2024, with both players retiring from T20Is after the victory.
