Hardik Pandya has reacted to Rohit Sharma's sacking and the all-rounder's appointment as captain of Mumbai Indians for the 2024 Indian Premier League. The five-time champions sacked Rohit ahead of the new season and handed the captain's armband to Hardik, who returned to the franchise after a two-year absence.
Prior to the start of the season on March 22, Hardik Pandya attended a press conference with head coach Mark Boucher.
During his tenure as captain, Hardik expects to get some help from Rohit.
“He will be helping me when I need it in my new role. He is leading India across formats and I have played a lot under his leadership. Leading Rohit Sharma in IPL will not be awkward for me.”
