A recent viral photo on social media has shocked users with the incredible body transformation of Sri Lanka's World Cup-winning captain Arjuna Ranatunga. Ranatunga led his team to victory in the 1996 Cricket World Cup, marking the only time Sri Lanka has won the title. After retiring from cricket, Ranatunga entered politics and served as a Member of Parliament in Sri Lanka.
The schedule for India's upcoming white-ball tour of Sri Lanka has been changed, with the first match now set to take place on July 27 instead of July 26. The tour will include three T20 Internationals and three ODIs, all to be held at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium and R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, respectively.
This will be India's first white-ball bilateral tour to Sri Lanka since 2021, when they won both the T20I and ODI series under the leadership of stand-in coach Rahul Dravid and captain Shikhar Dhawan. The squad for the upcoming tour is yet to be announced, but it has been reported that key players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be rested.
The Indian team will have a new head coach Gautam Gambhir, while interim head coach Sanath Jayasuriya will lead Sri Lanka.
