Kolkata Knight Riders mentor Gautam Gambhir was frustrated after Rinku Singh was dismissed by Piyush Chawla in Friday's match against MI.
Chawla removed Rinku Singh with KKR in all sorts of trouble at 57 for 4 after the first six overs. It was a slower ball that Rinku tried to hit over mid-wicket. But he mistimed the shot and was caught by Chawla.
Gambhir was disappointed as the left-hander walked back in despair.

KKR made a terrible start and were reduced to 57 for 5 in 6.1 overs. Phil Salt and Sunil Narine, rookie Angkrish Raghuvanshi and skipper Shreyas Iyer failed to deliver in the powerplay. Manish Pandey, brought in as an impact replacement, and Venkatesh Iyer put on 83 runs for the sixth wicket off just 62 balls. Together they saved the day for the two-time IPL champions, helping them reach 169.
MI were eventually bowled out for 145 as Kolkata Knight Riders ended their 12-year losing streak at the Wankhede. MI's chase of 170 was unsuccessful as Mitchell Starc rebounded from his poor IPL 2024 run to finish with figures of 4-33 with seven balls remaining.
Since 2013, Kolkata has suffered seven consecutive defeats at the Wankhede.
