Lucknow Super Giants fast bowler Shivam Mavi has been ruled out of the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League due to an injury.
Mavi confirmed that he will miss the 17th edition in a video posted by the franchise on Instagram. At the IPL 2024 auction, LSG purchased him for INR 6.4 crore. His most recent competitive match was in August 2023.

LSG defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 28 runs in their third game of the season. The Lucknow-based team is currently fourth in the table with four points, having secured two victories. Although they lost their opening game of IPL 2024 against Rajasthan
The Giants have not yet announced a replacement. The squad includes Matt Henry, Shamar Joseph, Mohsin Khan, Naveen-ul-Haq, Mayank Yadav, Yash Thakur, Arshad Khan, and Yudhvir Singh as fast bowlers.
