Musheer Khan is making a name for himself in domestic cricket. Sarfaraz Khan's younger brother is leading the batting charts for Mumbai in the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy final. He scored a hundred in the second innings against Vidarbha at the Wankhede Stadium.
After failing in the first innings, Musheer played with patience alongside captain Ajinkya Rahane to steer Mumbai to victory. He scored a fifty on day two and brought up his hundred the next day.
At the time of writing, the 19-year-old had scored 117 runs from 273 balls. Shreyas Iyer was unbeaten on 90 off 100 balls, with 10 fours and 3 sixes. Mumbai's total crossed the 300-run mark with a 440-run lead.
He scored an unbeaten 204 runs in the quarter-final against Baroda, which Mumbai won by virtue of their first innings lead. In the semi-final against Tamil Nadu, Musheer scored 55 in the first innings.
Mumbai were bowled out for 224 in their first innings in the mega final. Vidarbha couldn't get past the 105-run mark.
