It seems like there was a playful moment from RCB aimed at Jofra Archer after India secured their place in the T20 World Cup 2024 final.
RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) took a dig at England fast bowler Jofra Archer after India's victory over England in the T20 World Cup 2024 semifinal. They dug out an old tweet from Archer dated March 2013 where he had tweeted "Run Out."
During the semifinal match, England suffered two run-outs - Liam Livingstone and Adil Rashid were the batsmen dismissed in this manner. RCB responded to Archer's old tweet with a cheeky comment: "Run Outs."
Despite the loss, Jofra Archer had a decent outing with the ball, taking one wicket and later contributing 21 runs off 15 balls with a boundary and two sixes.
India convincingly defeated England by 68 runs. They posted a total of 171/7 batting first and then bowled England out for 103 in 16.4 overs.
After the match, Indian captain Rohit Sharma expressed satisfaction with the team's performance, highlighting their ability to adapt to challenging conditions in the West Indies and the USA.
India will now face South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 final on Saturday, June 29 at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. Both teams enter the final unbeaten in the tournament.
The tweet from RCB added a light-hearted touch to the competitive atmosphere of the T20 World Cup, reflecting on a moment from Archer's past and the events of the semifinal.
