Rinku Singh requested something from former RCB captain Virat Kohli, but Kohli declined

Kolkata Knight Riders batter Rinku Singh has publicly expressed his admiration for Virat Kohli. He recently met the seasoned player during a practice session ahead of the KKR vs RCB IPL 2024 match at Eden Gardens. This is the return fixture of a highly-anticipated rivalry. The KKR team emerged triumphant in the previous game held at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

In the previous contest between the two franchises, former RCB captain Virat Kohli had gifted one of the bats to Rinku Singh. However, this did not last long, and the KKR finisher went up to Kohli to ask for another one.

Rinku tried to explain to Virat how he broke the bat. He was checking out Kohli’s willows while talking to the star player. Mr. Kohli became visibly agitated and informed Rinku that he would not be able to provide him with another bat, as doing so might result in him facing disciplinary action in the remaining matches.

Meanwhile, RCB suffered a 7-wicket defeat at the hands of the visiting KKR at their home ground. KKR has won 6 consecutive games against the Bengaluru-based team.

After the match, Kohli presented his bat to Ribku, who has become a prominent figure in the league.

Kohli is monitoring the performance of the southpaw.

RCB must secure a victory against KKR, as a loss would eliminate their chances of qualifying for the playoffs. Kohli continues to lead the Orange Cap race in the 17th season.
