The top-ranked T20I batter, Suryakumar Yadav, will play for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2024. The tournament commences on Friday, March 22, with an intense match between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium.
The five-time IPL champions, Mumbai Indians, will begin their IPL 2024 campaign on Sunday against the Gujarat Titans. This year, Hardik Pandya will captain Mumbai after being traded from Gujarat. However, star batsman Suryakumar Yadav is unlikely to play in the opening match. He is still recovering from an injury sustained in December. Suryakumar has yet to receive medical clearance from the National Cricket Academy.
Suryakumar Yadav is at the National Cricket Academy while most of the Mumbai Indians players are in Mumbai preparing for the upcoming season. On Thursday, Yadav posted an Instagram story. It showed him with Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, Rinku Singh and Ravi Bishnoi.
