The seemingly challenging target turned out to be a victorious one. Harmanpreet tempted Kiran Navgire by pairing left-arm spinner Ishaque with Shabnim Ismail to open the bowling. Navgire hit the second delivery from the spinner over deep midwicket for a six but unfortunately got bowled in the same over. Matthews then bowled a delivery that stopped on Athapaththu, who mistimed her shot and ended up hitting it to cover.

During the previous outing, Ismail bowled the fastest-recorded ball in women's cricket. In this match, she delivered what could be considered the ball of the tournament. The ball nipped back sharply from a good length at 124kph, cutting Healy in half and hitting the stumps. Harmanpreet worked in tandem with Ismail and Matthews for six straight overs, during which Warriorz only managed to score 18 for 2.

Harris, who had been off the mark for 15 balls, hit a six before falling to Ishaque in the tenth over. Following a sequence similar to Navgire's, Harris hit Ishaque for a six over long-on before being bowled on the next ball. During their partnership, Harris and Deepti consumed 31 balls and added only 26 runs. The highest partnership for Warriorz was for the eighth wicket when Deepti and Uma Chetry added 37 runs off 26 balls.

Ishaque took three wickets on the night, breaking his wicketless streak from the first three WPL 2024 matches.
