The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed the fixtures for India's upcoming Test series against England in June and July 2025 on Thursday (August 22) via X (formerly Twitter). The five-match Test series will kick off with the first Test starting on June 20 in the UK.
This series is part of the World Test Championship (WTC) cycle for 2025-27 and will take place immediately following the WTC final next year. In their most recent Test encounter during England's tour of India earlier in 2024, India triumphed with a 4-1 series victory, leaving England eager to reclaim their pride in this upcoming series.
A significant highlight of the IND vs ENG series is that Rohit Sharma is anticipated to remain the captain of the Indian team beyond next year’s WTC Final, as evidenced by the BCCI's choice to feature his image alongside the schedule announcement, suggesting he will keep his captaincy.
The first Test will be held in Leeds from June 20, with the concluding Test set for July 31. India will also compete in matches at Birmingham, Lord's in London, and Manchester.
